Traffic Flow Plates
Traffic Flow Plates provide an easy way to prevent vehicles from travelling the wrong way in a one way system, or to prevent vehicles entering or exiting from a site or car park against the flow of traffic, etc.....
Standard flow plates are suitable for installation where cars, small vans, etc, need to pass over them. With these plates the rising teeth / restrictor flap is restricted to a maximum elevated height of 100mm to ensure that no damage is caused to the underside of the vehicles.
Special HGV flow plates (with taller restrictor flaps) will be required to prevent larger vehicles passing over them in the wrong direction, however these cannot be installed where cars may drive.
Surface mount traffic flow plates - are designed to bolt down to the road surface,
Embedded traffic flow plates - are designed to be concreted into the roadway, which of course requires excavation.
